📥 Easy Chart of Accounts Import in VinAR-ERP

When you create a new company in VinAR-ERP, a default Chart of Accounts (COA) is generated. However, if you have a custom COA, you can import it using the Chart of Accounts Importer instead of manually setting it up.

🔹 ⚠ Important: Importing a COA will overwrite any existing accounts for that company. Ensure there are no existing transactions before proceeding to avoid errors.

📌 How to Import Your Chart of Accounts

1️⃣ Access the Importer

Home > Getting Started > Chart of Accounts Importer

2️⃣ Download the COA Template

📥 Click "Download Template" to get a structured file for data entry.
📌 Choose a file format (CSV or Excel).
📌 Select a template type:

  • Sample Template (pre-filled with example data for guidance).
  • Blank Template (for a fresh start).
3️⃣ Fill in the Template

🔹 Enter your account details based on the provided format.
🔹 Make sure to include essential account types:

  • Cost of Goods Sold
  • Depreciation
  • Fixed Asset
  • Payable & Receivable
  • Stock Adjustment
🔹 Assign Root Types as either Asset, Liability, Income, Expense, or Equity.
4️⃣ Upload & Import

📤 Click "Attach" and upload the completed file.
👀 Review the Chart Preview to ensure all data is correct.
✔ Click "Import" to finalize the process.

5️⃣ Verify Your Import

Go to Chart of Accounts to confirm that all accounts have been successfully created for your company.

Done! You’ve successfully imported your custom Chart of Accounts into VinAR-ERP. 🚀
