Administrator in SuperNova

The Administrator is the highest authority within SuperNova, possessing full system access and unrestricted control over all configurations, settings, and data. While a System Manager has significant permissions, the Administrator retains ultimate oversight and the ability to modify any aspect of the system to align with organizational needs.

🔹 Key Responsibilities of an Administrator

  • Full access to all modules, settings, and configurations
  • Overseeing system-wide user management and role assignments
  • Ensuring optimal system performance and security
  • Managing advanced configurations and backend settings

🔹 Administrator Access in Cloud vs. Self-Hosted Environments

🌐 Cloud-Hosted Accounts

For cloud-hosted instances managed by Frappe Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Administrator access is restricted. This is done to ensure system security, seamless upgrades, and efficient management of multiple accounts on a shared infrastructure.

  • System upgrades and backend management are handled by the service provider.
  • Administrator credentials are not shared unless the account is hosted on a dedicated server (e.g., for enterprise clients with a large number of users).
🏢 Self-Hosted (On-Premises) Accounts

For self-hosted installations, full Administrator access is granted to the account owner.

  • The organization has complete control over upgrades, configurations, and backend management.
  • Administrator credentials remain with the account holder.

With great power comes great responsibility! The Administrator plays a crucial role in maintaining system integrity, security, and functionality, ensuring that SuperNova operates smoothly to meet business needs.
